Please Note
About Taxis If you are taking a taxi from an airport, station or elsewhere we strongly advise you to take an official London Taxi (usually black, but now also with advertising). Do not take a normal vehicle 'minicab', these frequently hawk for fares around taxi stops. However when you are leaving St.Margaret's we can book a minicab with a reputable company, and these can be a cheaper and more comfortable option.
About Cars and Parking If you are coming to us by car, it is important to be aware of the local parking regulations and car parks. Parking on our street (Bedford Place), is provided in paid meter spaces which allow a maximum stay of 2 hours only, for 3 pounds/hour. When this period elapses if you do not move your car you can be fined/clamped/towed away. Therefore we suggest that you park in one of a number of conveniently located car parks. However parking is free from 6.30 pm if you are parked in a meter space, or after 8.30 pm if you are on a yellow line. It is free until 8.30 am. (Double-yellow lines and 'Resident's Parking spaces' must be avoided as you will be fined immediately.) Please ask us about parking when you arrive at St. Margaret's.

How to get here from Russell Square Tube/Underground Station:
Russell Sqaure is the closest Underground/Tube stop to the hotel. (The station has a lift/elevator). With your back to the station, turn left. Walk along the street, and you will reach Russell Square. At the square turn to your left, (the building on the corner is the large red-brick Russell Hotel), continue round the square, the third road exiting the square on your left is Bedford Place. Turn left onto this road. We are 60 meters up the street on the right-hand side.
How to get here from Holborn Tube/Underground Station:
Holborn Underground Station is a little further than Russell Square Station. (The station has escalators). As you come up from the platforms, proceed straight ahead to the exit in front of you (a little further up the road in front of you is a supermarket called Sainsburys). This is on Kingsway, turn to your right and go straight ahead, cross at the traffic lights. The road becomes Southampton Row. Continue straight and cross at the next set of traffic lights. Continue until you reach a third set of traffic lights on Southampton Row (level with an Indian restaurant), cross here. Turn to your right and take the first turning on the left (Bloomsbury Place). Cross the road with care as there is traffic coming from all sides. Proceed along the street (on your left there will be the garden of Bloomsbury Square) and take the first turning on the right. You have reached Bedford Place. The hotel is 150 meters along!!on the left-hand side of the street.
How to get here from Tottenham Court Road Tube/Underground Station:
Tottenham Court Road Tube/Underground Station has a number of different exits. You should exit at the Dominion Theatre exit, on the corner of New Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road. Continue straight ahead from this exit, you will pass the Dominion theatre a few metres ahead on your right, 30 metres further ahead is the next road on your right, this is Great Russel Street, turn right onto this street. Continue on Great Russel Street, you will cross Gower Street, then you will pass the British Museum on your left. The second road on your left after the British Museum is Bedford Place. Turn left, the hotel is 150 meters along on the left-hand side of the street.
